Bukit Larut

On a clear day, one can view the peninsular coastline and the Straits of Malacca, sometimes stretching as far as Penang to the north and Pangkor Island to the south. The scenery is captivating during the day, magical and bewitching at night. However, the view is often obscured by cloud build-up in the afternoon, especially from September to December.

Reaching the top of the hill requires a four-wheel drive jeep. Since private vehicles are not allowed entry, the resort authority caters to this service. Beginning from 7am each day, you can get Land Rover services at the foot of the hill. The service runs once every hour and ends at 6pm. You may also walk up the hill, but this option is best left to the physically fit.
